Unison announced that its largest shareholder Myungwun Industrial Development's affiliate Samhae E&C has increased its stake through open market purchases, signaling a strengthened commitment to responsible management. This move demonstrates the major shareholder's confidence in Unison's future prospects and strategic direction.

Samhae E&C, an offshore wind EPC specialist currently executing marine construction for the Nakwol offshore wind project, is expected to create significant synergies when combined with Unison's wind turbine technology. The integration of Samhae E&C's construction capabilities with Unison's turbine expertise positions the companies to enhance their competitive advantage in the offshore wind sector.

About Unison

Unison Co., Ltd. is a KOSDAQ-listed Korean wind-power company and one of the country’s few domestic wind-turbine manufacturers. Its product range spans onshore and offshore machines, from the multi-megawatt class up to a 13.6 MW offshore turbine.

The company is repositioning itself from a turbine supplier into a full “integrated wind company” spanning manufacturing, construction and long-term operations & maintenance, with a stated target of ₩1 trillion in revenue by 2030. Recent milestones include a turbine-supply role on the Hanbit offshore project, an O&M partnership with Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO), and the deployment of a 4 MW turbine as a hands-on workforce-training asset.

The major shareholder plans to provide continued financial support and strengthen business cooperation to accelerate Unison's onshore and offshore wind operations. This strategic partnership aims to build a solid foundation for mid-to-long-term growth and market expansion in the renewable energy sector.

Among the potential collaborative projects, the Hanbit offshore wind development is expected to benefit from this synergy, with opportunities for Unison to supply turbines and leverage Samhae E&C's construction expertise. The combined capabilities of both companies are anticipated to enhance project execution efficiency and competitiveness in Korea's growing offshore wind market.
