Unison secures 99.3B won Gochang offshore wind turbine supply contract

Unison, a wind turbine specialist company, announced on the 27th that it has signed an EPC contract for the Gochang offshore wind power project commissioned by Dongchon Wind Power by forming a joint procurement body with Posco E&C.

The Gochang offshore wind power project involves developing an offshore wind farm with a total capacity of 76.2MW in waters near Sanghha-myeon and Haeri-myeon in Gochang County, North Jeolla Province. Unison will supply 12 wind turbines rated at 6.35MW for this project.

The total EPC contract value is 297.38 billion won, of which Unison's contract value is 99.287 billion won. This represents approximately 246 percent of the previous year's revenue. The contract period runs from August 26, 2026 to June 18, 2030.

The project will be carried out by Unison and Posco E&C in a shared performance method. Unison will be responsible for supplying the wind turbines while Posco E&C will handle offshore and onshore construction work. Contract payments will be made in stages according to project progress, including contract execution, receipt of major equipment, and completion of trial operations.

Unison plans to supply wind turbines according to the project schedule and promote the project in cooperation with the joint procurement body and other project participants. Through this order, the company aims to further accumulate offshore wind turbine supply performance and project execution experience while expanding its foundation for participation in future domestic offshore wind projects.

A Unison official stated: "To expand the business experience and foundation built in the onshore wind sector into offshore wind, it is important to continuously accumulate supply performance and execution experience by participating in various projects. We will carry out the Gochang offshore wind project without delay to establish a foothold for entering the offshore wind market, and will actively participate in various projects currently under discussion, including the Hanbit offshore wind project selected in the July bidding, to expand our position in the domestic offshore wind market."
