Seah Steel has been selected as a key supplier of heavy-wall steel pipes for the Sinan-Ui offshore wind farm, Korea's largest domestic offshore wind power project. The company will supply 62,000 tons of specialized steel pipes for jacket and pile foundation construction, marking the largest single offshore wind project pipe supply contract in Korea's history.

The 390MW Sinan-Ui project features 26 units of 15MW turbines and is being developed as the first major project funded by the National Growth Fund. Construction began on the 16th and is expected to commence commercial operation in January 2029.

This contract represents a significant milestone for Seah Steel in the offshore wind energy sector, as the supply volume of 62,000 tons of specialized heavy-wall steel pipes exceeds all previous domestic offshore wind project orders. The pipes will be used for manufacturing jackets and fin piles, which are critical structural components for offshore wind turbine foundations.

The Sinan-Ui project is located off the coast of Sinan County in South Jeolla Province and is expected to generate substantial economic benefits through job creation and technological advancement in Korea's renewable energy industry.
