LS Cable has successfully passed international PQ certification tests for its next-generation 525kV·80℃ HVDC submarine cable, achieving a 25% increase in transmission capacity compared to previous models.

The international certification represents a significant technological advancement for the company, positioning it competitively for major Korean power grid projects. This achievement is particularly important for large-scale national power infrastructure initiatives that require high-capacity transmission systems.

The newly certified HVDC cable is expected to serve as a critical infrastructure component connecting major renewable energy generation facilities to population centers. It will play a key role in projects such as the West Coast Energy Superhighway and will facilitate connections between offshore wind farms in the southwest region and the Seoul metropolitan area.

With this certification, LS Cable has strengthened its competitive position for securing contracts in large-scale power grid projects while supporting South Korea's transition to renewable energy by enabling efficient long-distance transmission of power from offshore wind installations to major demand centers.
