Korea Midland Power and wind turbine manufacturer Unison have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in the operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms. The partnership marks a significant step in advancing the companies' collaborative efforts in the renewable energy sector.

Under the agreement, the two companies will cooperate in three key areas: establishing operational plans for wind farms, exchanging technical expertise, and developing specialized workforce capabilities. This comprehensive approach aims to enhance operational efficiency and maintain high standards across offshore wind projects.

Korea Midland Power will leverage its extensive experience from existing projects to support the partnership. The company will share operational insights from the 100MW Jeju Halim offshore wind farm and technical expertise from the ongoing 390MW Sinan-Ui project. These experiences will provide valuable knowledge for optimizing future operations and maintenance practices.

The collaboration will initially focus on the 76.2MW Gochang offshore wind project and is expected to expand to additional new projects in the future. Through this partnership, both companies aim to strengthen their capabilities in offshore wind farm development and establish a foundation for long-term cooperation in Korea's growing renewable energy market.
