Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO) and DL Energy's 160MW Yeosu Geumodo offshore wind project has been selected in the Korea Energy Agency's first half fixed-price contract competitive bidding for wind power.

The project was the sole winner among public-led sector projects totaling 560MW. This selection represents a significant milestone for the joint venture, as it was the only project chosen from the public-led category in this bidding round.

The Yeosu Geumodo offshore wind project has undergone pre-verification for major licensing and permitting requirements, including military operational considerations. This pre-verification process ensures that the project meets all necessary regulatory and strategic requirements before moving forward with development.

With this selection, KOMIPO and DL Energy are now positioned to accelerate the full-scale development of the 160MW offshore wind facility, marking an important step in South Korea's renewable energy expansion and offshore wind sector growth.
