Ulsan Technopark held a technical seminar to share research outcomes from a 15MW-class floating offshore wind mooring load monitoring and load reduction device development project. The event brought together approximately 30 participants from participating institutions and experts to discuss key aspects of the initiative.
During the seminar, participants discussed real-sea demonstration preparations, marine survey methodologies, permitting strategies, and floating body design and manufacturing technology trends. These discussions focused on advancing the practical implementation of floating offshore wind technology and addressing the technical and regulatory challenges involved in deploying such systems.
Ulsan Technopark plans to use this seminar as an opportunity to solidify its demonstration infrastructure and strengthen collaboration with regional companies. The initiative aims to establish a floating offshore wind ecosystem centered in Ulsan, positioning the region as a hub for offshore wind technology development and commercialization.
