Taihan Cable & Solution will showcase its core technologies and business competitiveness at South Korea's largest climate and energy exhibition.
Taihan (CEO Song Jong-min) announced on September 15 that it will participate in the World Climate Industry EXPO 2026, to be held at Busan BEXCO from September 16 to 18.
At the exhibition, Taihan will present major power infrastructure technologies under the theme "From the West Sea to the World: Taihan Cable & Solution Connects New Energy Pathways."
Submarine Cable and HVDC Solutions

The company will set up a 30-booth exhibition space covering 270 square meters, highlighting submarine cable turnkey solutions, HVDC solutions, and busduct solutions to demonstrate its technological and business competitiveness in response to the future power infrastructure market.
The front of the booth will feature large video displays and key messages emphasizing Taihan's commitment and vision to participate in the West Sea energy corridor. The company will also display its domestic-only CLV fleet and submarine cables to demonstrate turnkey competitiveness for executing large-scale submarine transmission projects.
In the submarine-themed space, models of the Skandi Connector and PALOS will be displayed to showcase construction capabilities. The Skandi Connector model is being unveiled for the first time at this exhibition. The 11,000-ton-class Skandi Connector is South Korea's largest CLV, capable of handling offshore wind farm internal and external networks, long-distance grid connections, and HVDC submarine cable installation. Together with PALOS, it is deployed in domestic offshore wind projects and supports Taihan's submarine construction competitiveness.
The company will also showcase internal network submarine cables supplied to the Yeonggwang Nagwol offshore wind farm, 525kV-class HVDC submarine cables, and dynamic submarine cables for floating offshore wind farms. It will highlight major achievements including the Yeonggwang Nagwol offshore wind farm and the Sinan Bigeum solar grid connection project to emphasize its business capabilities.
Production Infrastructure and Busduct Solutions
Taihan will provide information on submarine cable production infrastructure, introducing its currently operating Submarine Cable Factory 1 and Factory 2, which is under construction with a target operational date of 2027. Factory 2 will be built as a specialized production hub capable of manufacturing 640kV-class HVDC and 400kV-class HVAC submarine cables.
In the busduct solutions theme, the company will showcase newly installed epoxy-insulated and PET-insulated busduct products, emphasizing its diversified product portfolio and market responsiveness. To address growing busduct demand, Taihan tripled the size of its busduct factory last year and pursued additional equipment expansion.
Vice Chairman Song Jong-min will attend the opening ceremony and visit the exhibition hall to discuss business cooperation methods with customers and key stakeholders alongside Executive Director Lee Chun-won, head of the Submarine Business Division, and Executive Director Baek Seung-ho, head of the Industry Division.
A Taihan official stated: "This exhibition is an opportunity to understand the rapidly changing power infrastructure market driven by renewable energy expansion and AI proliferation. Through continuous investment and technological advancement, Taihan will contribute to stabilizing South Korea's power supply chain and strengthen its business competitiveness in submarine cables, HVDC, and busducts to actively respond to global power demand."
The World Climate Industry EXPO is South Korea's largest climate and energy event for sharing the latest technologies and industry trends in the climate sector. This year's event is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment (MCEE), the International Energy Agency (IEA), the World Bank (WB), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and Busan Metropolitan City under the theme "The Massive Change Created by Climate Tech: A Leap Toward a Decarbonized World."
