Building a Power Infrastructure Value Chain
A comprehensive power infrastructure value chain spanning cable supply to construction has lifted the first-half performance of LS Cable subsidiaries.
According to LS Cable on September 7, 2026, its subsidiaries achieved record first-half results riding a boom in subsea and power infrastructure. The combined first-half results of three subsidiaries totaled approximately 2.417 trillion won in revenue and approximately 119.7 billion won in operating profit.

LS Marine Solution, LS Cable's subsea cable construction subsidiary, recorded revenue of 148.2 billion won, operating profit of 10.3 billion won, and net profit of 13.1 billion won on a consolidated basis for the first half.
These figures represent increases of 33 percent in revenue, 61 percent in operating profit, and 217 percent in net profit compared to the same period last year, marking record half-year highs across all categories. Operating margin also improved from 5.7 percent to 7.0 percent.
The impact was significant from the full-scale launch of subsea cable laying projects at offshore wind farms and subsea telecommunications cable installation projects in the Asia-Pacific region. The order backlog secured approximately 660 billion won, equivalent to three times the previous year's annual revenue.
Gaon Cable also recorded first-half revenue of 1.633 trillion won and operating profit of 64 billion won, marking its best half-year performance. This represented increases of 27.3 percent and 41.8 percent respectively compared to the same period last year, with operating margin improving to 3.9 percent.
Exports of distribution cables and bus ducts increased due to expanded investment in US AI data centers, solar farms, and power grids. Recently the company won consecutive orders including a US big tech power plant project worth approximately 50 billion won and a Singapore Land Transport Authority project worth approximately 60 billion won.
LS Eco Energy also posted first-half record revenue of 635.8 billion won, up 32.8 percent, and operating profit of 45.4 billion won, up 16.5 percent. Operating margin reached 7.1 percent, the highest among the three companies. High-value-added products including ultra-high-voltage cables for Europe and bus ducts for AI data centers drove results. The company is positioned to achieve annual revenue of 1 trillion won for the first time this year.
The company expects this growth momentum to continue in the second half as AI data center expansion, offshore wind growth, and aging power grid replacement demand converge.
