The offshore wind industries of South Korea and Japan are discussing industrial and supply chain cooperation to commercialize floating offshore wind. They plan to connect the industrial capabilities of both countries, from turbine and floater manufacturing through marine transport and installation to port utilization, and to explore the possibility of joint entry into overseas markets.
Energy and Space Co., Ltd. and the Energy and Space Foundation will hold the Ninth Offshore Energy Industry Forum with the Japan Wind Power Association (JWPA) on October 15 at Dejima Messe in Nagasaki, Japan.
The forum is organized as a special joint Korea-Japan session within the Global Offshore Wind Summit Japan 2026 (GOWS-J 2026), running from October 13 to 15. The international event is jointly hosted by JWPA and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and covers offshore wind policy, finance, supply chains, ports, project development, and power grids.
