Jindo County has recently stepped up public-private cooperation by holding a policy meeting with developers of the offshore wind integrated zone project at the county office.
The meeting was held to discuss field challenges and key issues ahead of full project implementation, following the designation of Jindo County's offshore wind integrated zone in March this year and the completion of developer designation in August.
Twelve officials attended, including representatives from Jindo County, Topsolar, Pacifico (Pacifico Energy Korea), and Jodo Wind Power, and explored various cooperation measures on core issues including power grid problems, resolution of military operational concerns, and reform of the renewable energy supply obligation system.

County Governor Lee Jae-gak said, "This was an important meeting to share difficulties encountered in project implementation and find solutions together. With the goal of commercial operation in phase one by 2031, we will continue communication and cooperation with the developers to ensure the project successfully leads into phase two."
Through this meeting, Jindo County and the related power generation companies plan to further strengthen their cooperation framework for the offshore wind integrated zone and accelerate project implementation.
