South Korea's Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on December 20 that the revised 4th National Port Master Plan (2026-2030) includes construction of a dedicated offshore wind terminal and logistics hub at Incheon Port. The facility will feature a 750-meter quay with 2 berths and 310,000 square meters of backup space to handle large turbine components, blades, and substructures for the 10 offshore wind projects currently underway in Incheon waters.
The dedicated offshore wind terminal at Incheon New Port will serve as a critical logistics hub for the multiple offshore wind energy projects being developed in the waters off Incheon. The facility's substantial quay length and berth capacity will enable efficient handling and assembly of large-scale wind turbine components, including massive turbine units and rotor blades that require specialized storage and processing facilities.
The 310,000 square meters of backup land area will provide ample space for warehousing, assembly, and preparation of offshore wind equipment before deployment to project sites. This dedicated infrastructure is expected to significantly streamline the logistics operations for the 10 offshore wind projects currently in development in Incheon's maritime zone.
