Iljin Electric announced on October 2, 2026 that it has won an additional contract for ultra-high-voltage underground transmission line construction in the United Kingdom's offshore wind power grid expansion project. The contract value is approximately 104 million pounds, equivalent to around 187.1 billion won.

With this additional award, Iljin Electric now records a total of 271.6 billion won in contracts from this UK offshore wind power grid expansion project alone, including the 84.5 billion won order announced in July. This amount represents the largest single-project contract in Iljin Electric's history since it began its wire and cable business.

The newly contracted project involves constructing underground transmission lines that connect offshore wind farms in the United Kingdom. Iljin Electric will now be responsible for building the entire underground transmission line route, including the section it previously won.

Through this series of major consecutive orders, Iljin Electric is expected to solidify its position as a key partner within the UK ultra-high-voltage transmission market.

An Iljin Electric official stated, "This additional order represents a historic milestone and the greatest achievement in the history of Iljin Electric's wire and cable business. Based on our proven and verified ultra-high-voltage technology and construction capabilities, we will work to deliver greater results by actively responding to large-scale projects across Europe as it undergoes a major transformation in ultra-high-voltage transmission networks, extending beyond the United Kingdom."
