Korea Southern Power (KOSPO) announced full-scale development of 2.2GW in major offshore wind projects, welcoming the government's medium-to-long-term offshore wind bidding roadmap (2026–2035). The company plans to supply 3.4GW cumulatively over the next five years and 11.2GW by 2040, with flagship projects including Yeonggwang Yawol (104MW), Busan Dadaepo (99MW), and Sinan Blue (2GW)—Korea's largest offshore wind project.

The Sinan Blue project, with a capacity of 2GW, represents KOSPO's flagship offshore wind initiative and will serve as a cornerstone of the company's renewable energy expansion strategy. This project is positioned as Korea's largest offshore wind development to date.

KOSPO's commitment to offshore wind development aligns with the government's long-term renewable energy goals. The company's roadmap demonstrates a strategic approach to scaling up clean energy production, with substantial investments planned across multiple project sites.

By 2040, KOSPO aims to supply a total of 11.2GW of renewable energy, reflecting the company's significant role in Korea's transition toward sustainable power generation and its contribution to achieving national carbon neutrality targets.
