Yeosu City in South Jeolla Province has requested the Minister of Climate, Energy, and Environment, Kim Seong-hwan, to support local issues including the transition of its energy industry. The city specifically asked for attention to the industrial structure transformation of the Yeosu National Industrial Complex, expansion of energy infrastructure in the eastern Jeonnam region, and the designation of preliminary zones for offshore wind power generation. Additionally, the city highlighted the need for HVDC grid construction and a CCUS cluster in the Yeosu industrial complex.
